Cadence, 18, isn't your average high school senior. Inspired by stories of her grandfather's time as a C-47 pilot in World War II, Cadence sought out to become a pilot at the young age of 15. Acquiring her Private Pilot License (PPL) on her 17th birthday, Cadence is now a commercial single/multi-engine pilot on track to acquiring her Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certification.

"It has been very difficult to complete my ratings in high school, but I have found a balance between academics and flying, " Cadence said.

"I am also a contract pilot on a King Air out of Midland, which I started flying at seventeen!"

Looking ahead,

Planning the Route

"I hope to continue flying corporate and eventually reach my ultimate goal of flying in aerobatic competitions and air shows! I have been practicing for competitions in a wonderful Super Decathlon. As far as my business, I can only hope it grows into the business I have envisioned. [...] I want to do everything I can to further my goals and give back to the aviation community."

Perseverance

"Being a business owner and pilot in high school has been a challenge to say the least. A young girl in aviation is less likely to be taken seriously by some compared to others in the industry. I believe that my perseverance has served as my best quality. There have been times where I become overwhelmed with the minute details that ultimately do not affect the big picture of my business or my career."

I am blessed to be surrounded by an amazing family and aviation community that have supported me since my early days in the industry
